I have noticed that my Dell Latitude C600 gets very hot when left on for a long time. I have not noticed the fan running at all.

Does this mean that I need a new fan? Is there something wrong with the motherboard? A lot of websites that Dell's just run hot anyways. I really want to sell it but the buyer won't purchase unless the fan is fixed. Will a new fan fix the problem or it something else?
